We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Amit Nandi to the position of Vice President - Business Development.
Amit has extensive retail and large account software solutions experience, both as a designer/developer and latterly as an evangelist for the need to ensure all solutions deliver the operational and financial impacts required for user adoption and success.
Amit will be responsible for the effective expansion of our partner programs in both EMEA and the US.

Impulselogic announces the completion of a distribution agreement for MIQ and SIQ with IBM in Europe.
Motorola
(September 2008)
Entered into technology partnership with Motorola, and developed the integration of the personal self scanner devices. These have been deployed by ToshibaTec into pilots at a number of European retailers.

Impulselogic announces pan European distribution agreement with ToshibaTec for MIQ and SIQ, where the products deliver the intelligence to a complete range of in-store customer touching devices.

Impulselogic enters into a 3-way collaboration agreement between Capgemini, ToshibaTec and the Company.
Management Buy-out

Management completed a buyout from the prior investors, shifting the Company headquarters to the UK, and expanding the focus on the European markets.

Significant Product Enhancements

ImpulseLogic announces the availability of ESL and EPOP rendering alongside the current print production capabilities of ShopIQ (SIQ). SIQ also feature the Vista UI as now standard with MIQ.
Australian Operations

Impulselogic announces the sale of its Australian and New Zealand operations to Iconiq Pty Ltd, based in Perth, Western Australia. Iconiq is a print production specialist Company targeting the existing and proposed client opportunities in the region. Les McNeill, ImpulseLogic’s CEO, stated “the sale of the regional operations to Iconiq is a positive step for the Company, as it puts the regional activities solidly in the hands of a committed entity willing to invest in growing the regional base”. Mr McNeill added “this sale affords the Company the focus it needs to fully exploit the market opportunities existing in Europe and the US without the distraction of supporting a vast user base in Australia and New Zealand”.
Store Integration Framework

ImpulseLogic reduces its direct sales activities in order to better partner with those technology companies providing the in-store devices defined by IBM as components of the SIF. The Company is working with a number of partners who are adopting MIQ and SIQ as the information management components behind their SIF devices.
Business Integration

ImpulseLogic announces its intention to focus on delivering the “business Integration” capabilities defined by IBM as the intelligence provisioning component of IBM’s Store Integration Framework (SIF). ImpulseLogic’s MerchandiseIQ (MIQ) and ShopIQ (SIQ) solutions combine to facilitate the provisioning of relevant, customer-centric, merchandising intelligence to all in-store devices communication with the customers while they shop. This use of a single, automated, capability for the real-time provisioning of usable intelligence will revolutionize the way customers and retailers interact during shopping visits, and afford the retailer capabilities for communicating relevant information to the customers while they shop. Finally, retailers can provide decision making guidance on purchases while these decisions are being made.
MerchandiseIQ Update

ImpulseLogic is pleased to announce the latest upgrades to MerchandiseIQ. The product now has an extended, and more powerful, rules engine embedded in its transformation component. This includes a Natural Language capability that affords business users an easy way to build the most complex of business rules. The UI was also revised to comply with Microsoft’s Vista standards.

Doug Clay has joined the Company as Vice President Client Services, which is also coincidental with the change of the previously named Professional Services functions to those of Client Services. Doug replaces Roselyn Poon, who has left to pursue her own eCommerce start-up. Doug comes with extensive background in software companies heading up client and professional services functions at Everdream, Good Technology and Netscape, where Doug had a series of senior responsibilities over a period of 6 years.
