SIQ is made up of an integrated set of software tools that enables the design, development and deployment of electronic shelf labels as well as signs and labels for both central and store distributed print production.

Product Data Feeds

SIQ accepts content data feeds created by the retailer’s IT organization in accordance with the prescribed SIQ data model or as generated by ImpulseLogic’s MIQ solution – see separate whitepaper on MIQ.

SIQ also offers a simple to use Ad hoc Data Entry interface for creating printed or electronic signs and labels. Retailers simply enter data into predefined areas of the sign, display or label and the data is automatically formatted and styled.

Sign, Display and Shelf Label Design

SIQ’s advanced, yet easy-to-use, template design tool separates the design process from the IT development processes. This means your marketing or merchandising department is free to set the tone of your creative message.

SIQ templates have built-in intelligence that changes the layout and format dynamically to suit the availability of content - ensuring the best possible presentation of information.

Collaborative Review and Approval

SIQ’s efficient collaborative workflow process enables multiple users to review and approve content for displays, ESLs, devices and signs. It enables and facilitates collaboration across all of the retailer’s merchandising, marketing and legal departments to ensure that all pre-defined messaging is in compliance with internal standards.

Distributive Display, ESL and Print

SIQ offers a simple to use interface allowing the store users to navigate through the numerous display, device, ESL and printed communications media and select the items they wish to output. The user simply clicks the button and the Job is rendered on the central server and automatically updated to the store devices or downloaded to the store computer ready for future rendering.

Personalized In-Store Interactions

In-Store Kiosks, Personal Shoppers, and Smart Carts

SIQ renders images to the displays in these devices, and does so in response to transactional activity and/or location detection. Where there is an interactive component, it is MIQ that detects the transaction, reacts with a process execution that creates content for SIQ to ender back to the display in the device. In this case, the interaction is personalized, with MIQ making the content determinations based on the item purchased, along with the customer profile, preferences and buying history.
