Advanced In-Store Production of Electronic Shelf Labels and Printed Signs and Shelf Tags
SignIQ Enterprise Edition (SignIQee) provides retailers with an efficient and effective, automated system for creating, managing, distributing and rendering formatted content to all in-store ESL and print production. SignIQee functions with more than one type of ESL, or Electronic Point of Purchase (EPOP) display technology. The selection of ESL/EPOP is left to the retailer, with SignIQee functioning transparently, regardless of display type selected. In the case of ESL rendering, and depending on the ESL technology, the SignIQee rendered ESL image will duplicate print content and formatting, including bar codes compatible with all current scanner standards. For print production, SignIQee renders content to signs, shelf tags, Kiosk delivered promotional materials, and personalized “best customer” communications; whether delivered at POS or mailed.
SignIQee enables retailers to apply available content data to the production of compelling visual presentations that actively direct customer attention, communicate targeted messages and ultimately shape customer buying behavior.

SignIQee requires the retailer to provide content data feeds in the prescribed formats used by SignIQee in the generation of the print output. This is the traditional print and/or ESL production requirement of all such solutions available today. SignIQee is, however, designed to integrate with ImpulseLogic’s MerchandiseIQ (MIQ) platform for optimum management of merchandising intelligence. When integrated with MIQ, the content for all print production is automatically derived from MIQ without requiring the development of any data pre-processing applications by the retailer’s IT resources. MIQ is the only available automated solution for delivering intelligence to all customer-centric merchandising mechanisms that communicate, or interact, with customers while they shop.
Where ESL technology is deployed, and where SignIQee is executing in conjunction with MIQ, the MIQ rules capabilities can be applied to deliver real-time changes to the ESL content via the SignIQee rendering. This can be particularly valuable when applied to the management of waste write-downs, day-part merchandising, and/or simple price changes in reaction to local competition.
